LGBT Exhibit

The Hollywood Museum is thrilled to announce its 2015 salute to the LGBT community’s contributions to the entertainment industry. The second annual “Reel to Real: Portrayals and Perceptions of Gays in Hollywood” exhibit in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell, is an educational, entertaining and informative retrospective of LGBT images in film and TV featuring costumes, props, photos, and iconic imagery – telling the story of the milestones and influence that LBGT characters and plot lines have had in Hollywood from early stereotypes to modern representations. Additionally “Reel to Real” celebrates LGBT icons – those individuals couples who may be openly LGBT or not, and enjoy great popularity and support the LGBT Community.

Highlights include:

Days of our Lives, Orange the New Black, Ray Donovan, Orphan Black, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, Liberace, Elizabeth Taylor, Judy Garland, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Sordid Lives, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, The Bold and The Beautiful, Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner, Rudolph Valentino Ramon Navarro, and more.
