Fran’s determination to personally beat cancer gave her the impetus to launch the non-profit organization Cancer Schmancer dedicated to flipping the switch on cancer by shifting America’s focus from searching for a cure to prevention and early detection to ensure no more Americans continue to lose their lives due to mis-diagnosis and a late stage diagnosis of cancer.

In 2021, Fran became the president of the largest entertainment union SAG-AFTRA where she fearlessly led the union through a five-month long tough labor strike, with her unique approach to negotiating and a brilliant team behind her SAG-AFTRA walked away with a billion $ deal. Not bad for the “flashy girl from Flushing”…
