Max Factor developed his “Color Harmony” techniques in 1918. These powders enabled him to customize and provide more consistent make-up for each individual actor or actress. In 1935 when Max Factor opened his new studio on Highland Boulevard in Hollywood, the main floor featured four makeup rooms that transformed the “look” of Hollywood forever.

	REDHEADS ONLY Enter the Redheads Only Room, where Hollywood stars like Lucille Ball and Rita Hayworth became Hollywood’s leading redheads! See Lucy’s personal makeup and accessories, and Rita’s personal vanity set. Spend the day at The Hollywood Museum and be transported to the days when Max Factor gave these and other famous redheads their “look”… Only at The Hollywood Museum!
	BLONDES ONLY Happy Birthday Mr. President! See the Blondes Only Room, where the enchanting Marilyn Monroe was transformed from a brown-haired beauty into a blonde bombshell! Feel Marilyn’s presence as you stand in the very same space where she and the original platinum blonde legend Jean Harlow had their hair color done! This room is truly a special place… and it’s Only at The Hollywood Museum!
	BROWNETTES ONLY Hey there, this is the Brownettes Only Room! Walk into this room where talented brown-haired beauties like Judy Garland primped and posed in front of Max Factor’s mirror. Are you a brownette? Max Factor made sure all brownettes looked every bit of glamorous as the other leading actresses! And now you can re-live the magic of Max Factor, at The Hollywood Museum!
	BRUNETTES ONLY Here in the Brunettes Only Room, you realize you are standing where Hollywood icons like Elizabeth Taylor got their stunning brunette coloring. The sex appeal of brunettes in Hollywood was born in this room, and here at The Hollywood Museum you can see photos of the starlets forever immortalized by Max Factor.
