In Memoriam: Our Friend Phyllis Diller
July 17, 1917 – August 20, 2012
We can all see her face… telling jokes and belting out her iconic laugh. Phyllis Diller is a comedic superstar who is remembered throughout Hollywood and around the world.
“She made us laugh and she made us feel happy. Her kindness will always be remembered,” says Founder and President of The Hollywood Museum, Donelle Dadigan.
Phyllis Diller contributed many of her personal items which can now be seen at The Hollywood Museum, including her own mini-dress and a signature jeweled cigarette holder used in numerous appearances including USO shows, on TV, and her famous night club acts.

COMEDY LEGEND PHYLLIS DlLLER MEMORIAL AT THE HOLLYWOOD MUSEUM
The Hollywood Museum honors Comedienne/Actress Phyllis Diller with a special memorial exhibit. A devoted fan of The Hollywood Museum, Diller donated a pink mini-dress with ostrich feathers, pink booties and pink gloves. A special exhibit is now on display at The Hollywood Museum for all of Phyllis’s fans and friends to enjoy and remember.
